“Let’s get on with it, we have important things to do.”
– Diane Owens Zaccagnino
Fund Love was founded in 2015 by Diane Owens Zaccagnino. Diane passed away that same year after a nearly 6-year battle with brain cancer. Over the course of her life, Diane had taken a consistent interest in helping those in need, particularly young children and those afflicted with illness.

Community Health Services
Fund Love builds and manages programs designed to meet to help members of the community address the factors have the greatest impact on their health and well-being. To accomplish this, we coordinate health services across many organizations, including health providers, schools, churches, and other community-based organizations, improving the care experience and health outcomes for those living and working in the community. Specifically, Fund Love provides those in the community with access to a vast resource center and information service, enabling them to find and access the services and supports that they need most.
I Am More Than Cancer
The I Am More Than Cancer Campaign was launched in 2017, building on earlier efforts, and with the aim of “relegating” all cancers to chronic diseases, by supporting the development of new ground-breaking therapies, translational research, and advances in personalized medicine. Thanks to the Campaign’s early successes, More Than Cancer is now a permanent and growing part of Fund Love’s program portfolio. Through our partnership with Columbia University, we serve as the lead sponsor of the Columbia’s Velocity Ride to End Cancer, and later this year, Fund Love will launch the More Than Cancer Wellness Center, helping patients, survivors, and family caregivers thrive both during and after their treatment journey, by providing a range of support, including fitness and nutrition services, pilates and yoga classes, and much more.
Fund Love provides and arranges for financing to support members of the community, who find themselves in difficult financial situations, due to the pandemic, job-loss, gaps in their health insurance coverage, and/or systemic social and economic inequities. These programs provide those living and working in the community with alternative solutions for paying for the health care and services that they require to get and stay well, and realize their full potential.
Through its affiliate, Lucania Partners, Fund Love provides community-based organizations (CBOs), including health centers, social services organizations, and religious institutions, with a full range of consulting capabilities, designed to help CBOs thrive and develop strong partnerships and collaborations for the purpose of improving the health and well-being of the populations that they service. Specific needs include strategic plans, risk assessments, disaster recovery plans, staff and leadership development, and implementation support aimed at fully realizing desired results.
